Bearded Dragons:

I came across the fallen gum tree, depicted in this painting, whilst hiking in Wilpena Pound, an ancient volcano in South Australia. There were plenty of Bearded Dragons in the area and it was an obvious choice for this composition. Notice the numerous crickets in the picture.
