Description
Shingleback Skinks (Tiliqua rugosa aspera)
Of the four subspecies of this short tailed, slow moving, blue-tongued Australian skink, Tiliqua rugosa aspera is the only one native to eastern Australia. I caught my first specimen of this beautiful lizard over forty years ago, and it has remained one of my favourite lizards, ever since. The red flowering shrub depicted in the painting is the Bottlebrush or Callistemon.
Print run: 300
