Description
Natterjack Toad (Epidalea calamita). A recent painting. These beautiful little toads breed in shallow, sandy-bottomed, pools and are restricted to sand dune systems, heathland and saltmarshes. Many years ago I played a small part in their much needed conservation, and legal protection, in the UK.
